Meet the Fekkes'

We did it! We are married! We are so thankful to everyone who celebrated our wedding with us. But, we know a wedding is just the beginning. We couldn't have asked for a better day...well, I guess we could have done without the rain, but in the end the rain was a precious gift.

So, to update you in case you were not able to make it, Derek and I were married August 14, 2010, in Griffin, Georgia with our friends and family from all over the world, a big pecan tree, buckets of rain, 23 attendants, 200 cupcakes and endless memories that will last us all a lifetime.

We would like to give a HUGE thanks to everyone who prayed over us, laughed and cried with us, decorated, participated, blessed us with sanity and loved us through good food and transportation. Those people span the globe all the way from Korea to Scotland, England to Canada and I'm sure many other countries. Our friends from the West Coast to the East Coast and everywhere in between. For everyone who volunteered their expertise, talents and time. For our friends who joined us in prayer, fun and food. And for our families, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters and parents. We are thankful and we love you! But, our biggest thanks are given daily to the Lord of our hearts and marriage, Jesus. Thanks Gman for being infinitely more wise than we could ever be or understand, for working things together for our good, for mending/healing, loving, disciplining, providing, seeking and be so merciful with us. Our marriage, we commit to you.
