Meet Mimi - aka Michelle Badejo
Mimi is the daughter of Bola and Adegoke Badejo, our sweet friends, originally from Nigeria, studying in their phD programs. To make a long story short, we had a baby pool to pick the birthdate of sweet Mimi. I chose August 14, 2010 - our wedding day. And Mimi gave us a sweet gift. She chose our date, too! Now, we consider her a little bit ours as we have watched her grow over the past year. Derek and I got to babysit Mimi for a FULL DAY to give her parents a breather. Seriously, one of my favorite days ever! Not only was Michelle the sweetest baby, but my husband was the sweetest man. I've never seen him around a baby that actually responded to him, but he would look at Michelle and play with her, make her laugh, hold her, dance with her in our kitchen, play piano with her. It gave me eyes to see him someday play with our future children. Goosebumps! And so much new love! Here is our day with Mimi.
